The One by Kiera Cass (Book Review)

The One is the third and final book in The Selection trilogy. The first book is The Selection (which you can see my review right here.) and the second book is The Elite (Which you can see my review right here.)

This book is just ugh. I literally can't even. I can't even, i am unable to even. I have lost my ability to even, i am so unable to even. I CAN'T EVEN.

This book is probably the best book i have ever read.

I suddenly regret that i didn't buy the signed copy edition. There is a signed copy edition in barnes and noble which also includes poster and bonus scene but WHY DIDN'T I BUY IT WHYYY. I should've buy that now i regret everything. It could've been more beautiful.

If you are familiar with me, you'll know that in my country, it mostly sells paperback. So i should've preordered it because it is hardcover and the hardcover would've been good. And when i want to purchase it bam it's gone. But hardcover or paperback i still love this book.

I mean, seriously, i can't translate how much i love this book into words. It's amazing and so good and if you haven't picked up the series then go get it. I'm ordering you right now, pretend i'm the king here, i order you to read the amazing The Selection series!

I think this book is the best of the trilogy (Lol why did i say that, i already said it's the best book i've ever read so it's gotta be the best in the trilogy. You don't say.) The story goes better after book after book.

People said that The Selection is more "Good" than The Elite but, ahem, i disagree. Kiera Cass did an amazing job at making sequels. Drama starts to cause, feelings started to rush and before you know it you are gushing and screaming like you never gush and scream before. This book also makes me open my mouth and makes me sad. This book is so emotional.

Go ahead and look at my Top 5 Favourite and you'll see that The Selection used to be at number four but now, it's number one. It's like this book made the jump and just came crashing down the others. It's like a bomb and just explode, this book is on fayaaaaaahhhhh.

I'm totally speechless right now, i don't know what more to say about the book.

Kiera Cass did a very, very, very  good job at making this series. It's the best one! I don't understand why some people just don't like the book. I mean, are you sick or something? Because something's wrong with you man.

The characters was so good. You can feel your heart being glued to them, you will care for them (except some of them.) and your place doesn't just stand still. Like, some novels is the good guy, the main character or just other characters was like still. I love them and i hate them, just that. Okay, maybe there'll be plot twist so you can change sides but in this book, you will be tired from changing.

It doesn't mean it's bad, i mean it's the opposite things of bad. Kiera Cass suddenly become a psychic and move our hearts. It's a good thing! And that what makes it special. I think the character's development is the most important in here because you can see clearly the past and the future.

I think America Singer, the main character from the series, is the most frustrating character of all time. If there's an award or grammy fro book characters, certainly America Singer would be in it. Because she just make me grit my teeth, you know? But i lover her all the same too.

The world building is so good, it's splattered all over the story so bits after bits we get a glimpse of the world. But i would like to know more of the past, though. I don't really understand that part. And why The Selection is made. It wasn't like it just pop to an idea. Wait, is it?

I can guarantee you will not see what's coming in this book. So before you think "Ah, this is going to happen blablablablabla.." juts shut up for a minute and actually read.

If you notice it, I FINISHED THIS BOOK IN ONE DAY! Just One Day..! I flew through it like the wind. It's the first time i read a book this fast which means this book is beyond amazing. I remember when i made The Elite book review and it feels like yesterday!

Wait, it is yesterday.

I kept thinking to myself like "No, you can't read the book, you have to slow it down, i don't want the series to end yet. Don't read don't read don't read don't read... oh god, i'm reading and i can't look away." IT'S SO SAD THE SERIES HAS FINALLY COME TO AN END. I'm praying that Kiera Cass is making a sequel, i want to know what happens, i need more time, Kiera Cass!

Dang, i love Kiera Cass so much, thank you for making this series! I'm so grateful for you. This book has changed me. It changed me the way i look at things. Changed me the way i view people and differences in other and it changed me my view of bravery, courage, and of course love. It also changed me the way i look at hate too. And it teaches me that there's clearly a love-hate relationship.

I was looking through the book and i saw this. "For Callaway, the boy who climbed into the tree house in my heart and let me be the crown on his." It's so sweet for her to do that. She'll definitely be a good Queen, wife, and mother. Go follow her Twitter account @Kieracass

Let's talk about the cover because god the cover i think is the most beautiful cover. Can't you see that?? It white and all the sparkly and the model is so pretty. Good job, publishers, you have done a great job. Like not only the books are good but the cover is too! Even though i'm a boy, i just like pose sometimes like America Singer here in the cover expecting to look the same but alas i failed miserably.

I also love the colour scheme for the series. In the first book, The Selection, the main colour blue. In the second book, The Elite, the main colour is red. And the conclusion, The One, the main is the beautiful colour of white. It's like the american flag and the main character is named America! Again, good job, publishing companies.

White and Blue is my favourite colour. I said this i think in the Too Much Information tag. So if you want to know more about me, you can see it right here, THE TMI TAG!

And the titles is very good too. First, The Selection, minus 'the' it's nine words. Second, The Elite, five words. And lastly, The One, three words. Small, but i definitely liked the title better than the rest.

Oh god, this book didn't let me down, of course. Before starting, i was scared of what will happen because anything can happen. Kiera Cass can just puts alien in it or just mind-control people. Or suddenly The Selection girls become the new x-men but instead called themselves the x-ladies. Anything can happen. Even suddenly One Direction can appear that can happen too.

I don't need to say my overall thoughts because you probably already get it. The books of the series looks beautifully on my bookshelf and i'm grateful i have it. I'm going to get the worse reading slump and book hungover after this ughhhhh.

I need The Queen (Novella in Queen Amberly's point of view.) now. But so sad it's an Enovella and i don't have a kindle and i can't buy books through technology because i have to use a credit card and i don't have a credit card yet. So i guess i'll be buying the Audiobook and hopefully i can get it free. And the cover for The Queen is also amazing. Green, jade green!

Let's line up the books in The Selection world. The Queen, The Selection, The Prince, The Guard, The Elite, and THE ONEEEE. The color is Green, blue, purple, yellow, red, and WHITEEEE.

Only 1 girl can win Da crown.

Now, i'm gonna talk about the spoiler part of the review so if you haven't read The Selection and The Elite and The One, you have to leave. Trust me, you don't want to be spoiled because it's a very good book. Okay? Leave.

I told you to leave if you haven't read all the books so leave before i kicked you out, seriously i mean it.

Okay, so now let's discuss. Even at the first start i was laughing up. When America just like gets all sexy and stuff i was cracking! But the one that made me really laugh was when Maxon laugh at America, good stuff. And when America slipped out she has seen Maxon without his shirt off before? You outdone yourself, America.

America is a bit less frustrating in here than The Elite, of course. Because she was accepting hr love for Maxon and it makes me happy. I want them to be together, they're my most favourite OTP and also the most frustrating.

When the book is released i kinda got half-spoiled because everyone i knew loved it. Some girl on YouTube was like "I Love this book! I love, America! I Love, Maxon!" And do you get the point of what she's saying? She loved them so they have to be together. When she said that, it's already clear that they got their happy ending.

I wanna talk about the end parts but i have to talk about the first parts so GO! Let's talk about the other Elites starting with Elise. I was dissapointed when Natalie left. I liked her more than Elise and i know she's worthless (I'm so mean.) and when she said she's worthless, i was nodding the whole time and saying "You got that right, girl." and when she finally been kicked out YES!

Celeste. Oh god, i love Celeste. From a devil to an angel. Literally an angel. I can't believe she died right after when she revealed her true self to all the girls. How can Kiera Cass do that? She's so tricky, making our hate to love and crushed it. And when America missed her at her wedding i was like me too, child, me too. And why why why. It's just like one second everything happen so fast that i ahev to reread the line that Celeste is been shot. WHYYYY

Kriss. My anger for her is melting away, i think. I still don't like her but she has done good things to America so i think i forgive her. When at the wedding, i was like yes, yes, yes, yes because she was said and how mean am i. She doesn't deserve Maxon and she enters The Selection because of teh northern rebels. But that's what u get for messing with my OTP.

And there's so much northern rebels are there? Like Gavril, who knew? Well, Kiera Cass knew but you get the point. And i'm so happy when my thoughts on his father as a rebel is right! Go read my The Elite review if you want to know about what i thought about America's father. And so sad he just died. Poor America, her father is the one who supports her best.

Like, in The Selection and The Elite, she didn't make anyone that we cared die. And then when The One came, it's like a death-fest so many characters are dead when we are already attached to the characters. I'm already attached myself so seeing them was like oh no.

Anne died. That broke me too because Anne has helped her since the beginning. And when America got shot she helped her and i was very shocked to hear her dead. She's the head-maid and she loves Aspen but she cannot because she is dead. And Lucy gets Aspen. Personally, Mary dying would be a bit better because i'm not so attached to Mary.

And why is Lucy suddenly retired? She doesn't like America do she? You want and expect her to be the princess but after that you just left? Hey girl, Aspen you're lover is still a guard so if you retire, that means you can't see him very often because he is in the palace. I liked Lucy the most and i don't want her out of America's life. But maybe she'll be a babysitter for America's and/or Aspen's family?

Aspen didn't die which i hoped for he was. But i think i kinda like him a bit now, because he cared for her and also he didn't fight that America wants to be with Maxon. I never thought i'd say that but i just did!

We didn't get to see much of Carter which i'm very interested at, though. But of course he is in the stables so maybe that explain that. But we did get to see Marlee! YAY! and how cool her name is changed to Mallory? So cool. And Marlee get to be America's bridesmaid, awwwww! I almost forget that she was still here, though.

And where's that girl from the out of city? Oh i even can't remember her name. But we didn't see much of her because she just work at the kitchen? Maybe she'll become her new maid. But so poor of her when she's in the streets. I was so sad to hear her story.

Let's talk about Georgia and August. I might have a new OTP. And i love, love Georgia! She's so kind and helpful and so sweet to August. And when she's invited to tea i was so happy for her. Luckily she didn't die because i might have break if that happen. And August. SHOCKER. He's the great-great-great- oh whatever. I didn't expect to have him, but if he wants the crown that would cost more drama there and probably more books. Lol. And that Micah. Why did he die? We didn't know him very much. Poor of him. Darn it you Southern Rebels!

Nicoletta. I knew America was going to call her because she had too come, didn't she? When the tea party was announced i knew Nicoletta was going to be in it and i was shocked to see her with Georgia. And when the king blame America, goodness top it for a second and actually he eventually wants America in the selection.

And Silvia. Suddenly she gets mad at America. Geez. I would like America to be friends with her but it didn't have any sort of rebuilidng in this book. Because she looks so happy when America wants private lessons. And when the convicting? i think she's mad. And boy the king is mad. But why did America gave up her necklace and his present from Maxon. You should be grateful, but i can understand her why did she do that.

My favourite scene is going to be when they, America and Maxon, are on the roof when its raining. It was so good and so romantic. When they danced and talked and confessed it was so cute. But then Jerk-face Clarkson just ruined their moment and i was so mad at him. Dancing on the rain is so spectacular. Kriss should have seen that, god i'm so evil.

Speaking of The king, let's talk about it. I was super shocked to her Queen Amberly died, i mean she's so selfless and kind and so loveable. But the king on the other hand. She's so- whyyyyy. To protect teh king she sacrifies herself. But the king's death should have more justice into it. Like, because the queen died, he should've kill himself? Because if he eventually die, the queen's sacrifice would be useless. And i don't want it to be useless.

And let's talk about the ending. I was so, so, so happy when he proposed to her. I was screaming and jumping and then America got caught with Aspen. Damn you, Aspen. And then Maxon just turned into his father, i was so scared of him suddenly. He turns evil and i was soooooooo mad at him when America wants to forgive herself. What are you thinking? He just become cold as ice. I never thougth i could hate him so much.

Poor America, i can feel her when i was reading that. And when Maxon got shot, i was half-sad and half-happy because of what he did to America? But he did protect her, though... And America no matters what happen still cared for him. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF MAXON!

But what really important is that he forgive her and they got married. YAYAYAYAY! I was almost crying when he proposed and said sorry to her. I was this close to crying. Oh wait you can't really see arm but it's small. And when the wedding took hold and i was a mass of happiness.

That's all for today and wow i'm pretty suprised. I thought i was going to make this review next week but it turns out because of its amazingness and awesomeness i'm making this right now.

THANKS FOR READING! :)

The Elite by Kiera Cass (Book Review)

The Elite is the sequel of The Selection. It is also the second book in The Selection trilogy which i'm currently very loving it. It feels good to be in that world again and i'm glad i reread the first and the second book because without me doing so, i would've forgot 40% of things.

As i said before, The Elite is a sequel. I have made a book review for The Selection so if you wanna read my thoughts on that book then go check that out. If you wanna know what's the trilogy about i recommend you look at that too. You look at the review right here.

I'm not going premise the whole plot about this book because it is a sequel and i have to spoil you if you wanna hear it. It's basically the continuation of the first book.

I really loved this book more than The Selection. I don't know why people liked The Selection more. The Elite is way more better for me, it have more dramas and more emotion and more gasps and more hatred and love.

It maybe because the main character, America Singer, is very very annoying at times. Because trust me, i've been mad at America a bunch of times. She's just so... complicated. Like we know what you're dealing with but just try to control yourself. She is the type of character that just do without thinking straight.

But i still love this more, of course.

The character seems to unravel themselves in this book, I know what they're personalities more now. Some are good and some are just ugh. And so many twists in this book too! Well, not much actually but something just like twisted and just made me whoa.

Kiera Cass is so good making books. Her writing style is great and this book have a sort of "Addicting" nature to itself. You just can't stop reading. Even when i'm rereading this, i tried to make time for reading it again because i have to know. Like, i'm very anxious when i'm at school because i can't read The Elite.

Let's talk about the cover. It seems that i liked The Selection's cover than this. Like, it maybe because i like blue better if you can't tell that  by now. But it's like she's mad in the cover which seems like kinda make sense with the story. I don't like her hair, i don't know why. I prefer girls being long-haired. And he hand is like so simple. Just like putting my hand on my dress with style but failed. And looking at her face- SHE'S NOT UGLY- i just don't like that some book covers shows the model's face. At times it ruined my imaginations.

Oh! And this book just switch my feelings for such characters. For example, from like to hate or hate to like. Because when they unravel themselves, some show their good side a lot and some show their bad side a lot too.So it's very interesting when i reread The Selection because when i reread it, i was like shut the heck up even though we didn't know this certain character would do that.

The Elite seems more rough. In The Selection, it's like it made us thinks that happily ever after is easy and simple (Lol not really.) and in The Elite, it shows reality. We have to fight for what we want and i'm soooooo excited for reading The One. I have it now, and the reason i'm not reading it right now it's because i want to share my feelings because heck yeah i got feelings.

And it's becoming more like The Hunger Games-y now in The Elite. Because we have to fight but not with bows and arrows but instead dramas and tiaras. I'm just kidding. And there's not much of a death here than i thought it would be. Maybe it's because Kiera Cass want us to be attached to these characters and make us suffer. But she's not that evil, right?

But too late for that matter, i'm already attached. Like you just want to punch some characters or hugs them. It just made me realised that i care for America, i actually care for the main character. Some books's main character was like i don't care.

I read this book in about in TWO DAYS YAAAAY! And i'm so happy. The last time i read this book, i finished it also in two days. And when i reread The Selection, the first time i finished it in two days and when i reread it, it multiplies by two. So four days. But as i was saying, this book is more awesome than The Selection and also i have a weekend.

A little note i'm gonna put, is that i said The Elite wrong. I'm not America so i don't know how to said it right at first. Until someone when i heard the review and they said the right thing. I said it like "eh-light" and i was so ashamed of myself. Luckily i haven't said the title to my friend yet, so i am saved. Woo-hoo!

And one more thing, Publishers Weekly said this in The Elite's back cover. It says : "A Cross between The Hunger Games (minus the blood sport.) and The Bachelor (minus the blood sport.)" Like, i laughed when i read the sentence. I didn't know book reviewers can be funny, i always thought them as proper and intimidating. If you don't get what it means, then you should get out more. When i said get out more i mean browse the internet more, i'm sorry.

ONE LAST THING, I feel like i'm very intelligent writing this somehow... maybe because i didn't fangirl and to match the place's attitude but yeah.

35 Girls came to Da palace. Only 6 remains.

Now i'm going to discuss the book which means i have to spoil it, so if you have not read the book, hello? Where are you this whole time? The beautiful cover didn't catch your eyes? i recommend you leave, read, and go back here, okay? Bye people who haven't read The Elite! And if you haven't read The Selection, go and read all two books.

So let's talk about Kriss. Umm... i hate her. She's so kind and innocent but nope, she is not. I know it's because of love, i know she truly loves Maxon and whatever and America is worse but i just hate her you know?

I was going to say i hate her more than Celeste but i have to think that one through. Like i think she's trying to sabotage America. It didn't happen on this book but maybe in The One? But she is...  Kriss. She wouldn't do that, right?

Maxon should use his brain more, America gives him more than Kriss. I don't know what it is but when i knew Maxon loved her just because she gave him something, i was like isn't America done this more times than you and also more valuable stuff? Lol, i'm kinda mean but Maxon use your brain. America, the one you loved and not Kriss, needs you right now. You should check on her more.

Maybe Maxon is lying when he said he have work but at the start of the book, America didn't do anything but time. For your America to reduce the amount of time, you have to comfort her, you have to make her believe that she's in capable hands and somehow make her loves you more. And when she needs time, you just reacted by loving another girl.

I want Kriss to go but i want to see the look on her face when Maxon proposed to America. He better proposed to America in public so he can break Kriss's AND Aspen's heart. Who doesn't want a double K.O? And don't you see that you are risking everything for America and what does that means? You cared for her very very very very very very very very very very much, Maxon!

I never thought i would be frustrated at Maxon, wow Kiera Cass, you make a good job.

When he shouted for her when she goes to the woods, it just made my heart flutter. He cares for her! And he just put Kriss into Aspen's arm like you can't do that to a girl with a broken leg, but if he does that it means he doesn't whole-heartedly cares for Kriss which is a good thing! And when the halloween night when he saved the whole night just for America i was like yes, yes, yes!

Her presentation seems pretty good, though. It's because she's a scientist, of course, so CHEAT YOU CAN'T CHEAT. You see what i did there? I never thought i could be mad at someone like Kriss. In The Selection she was very nice, i think of her as her best friend liek Tiny or is it Tuesday? Oh god, it's so strange living without them in the room.

Let's talk about America's presentation. I loved her. Like, she is so brave and when she's the queen everyone has to stood up for her and end the caste systems, right? If i was to make a presentation, i'd probably use Divergent's technique, i probably have choose like, at the age of sixteen, there's a test that would rank you from two to eight. And when you married, THAT will change.

Let's talk about Silvia. When Kriss and America gave her a necklace she was so speechless. Like, that made me wonder what caste she's in. If she's six than that's very surprising. She may as well be a two or a three. And when America want private lessons and she was so ecstatic, ugh i love Silvia. And i'm so scared what will she react to America's presentation. She is her star student, after all.

Let's talk about the king. Who expect the ruler of Illea to be this jerk-face? I didn't like he is so mean and he throws very nasty comments to America when she meet him in the hallway. Like, you said she have abad temper but you also do. So if you think you're a great ruler, America is a good ruler too! The differences is that America is really a great ruler and he is not. What's his name? Jerk-face Clarkson?

The queen is like the exact opposite of him. So loveable and just so patient and i'm very excited for the novella prequel Kiera Cass is making! The queen is white and the king is black. It's like beauty and teh beast. The beauty is the queen and the beast is the king. The evil and the good. Maybe this novella would like the retelling of beauty and the beast.

Aspen. I think i hate him less more, maybe it's because of his actions towards America. I cared for her and if her cared for her so much maybe i can go through that? But i don't like him. Like i don't have any feelings at all. If Something happened to him, i was well maybe sad but i didn't care. It's like his my friends's brother's friends' friends's sister's friend's brother's. Like if i heard that i was like poor you and gave a said face like this : ):

He danced and talked to Celeste which made me a bit mad. And he just kiss America without noticing the trouble. Like they could've been ended up like Marlee and Carter. I'm scared again of what will happen in The One because i'm sensing Maxon WILL know their relationship. Oh darn, i'm so scared. I wish he is murdered by the rebels or just killed by Maxon. And the king should join him too, perhaps.

Speaking of the rebels, i liked that girl! Do you know who it is? It's the one who looks at America when's she's hanging upside down in a tree. Then she just curtsied and ran off, who is this girl? She is very interesting. Maybe because she knows America is going to make the revolution. But if Kriss was in there, i think your luck would've been run out.

Kiera Cass should kill Kriss you know? Lol i'm so evil i'm sorry world and Kriss. But that's the death of a character that we cared about but not make us break. It's perfect!

I almost forgot about who's her name, Nicoletta? ITALY SUPPOTS HER!! She have to win because it would make the bond and if she just tells the king it would be alright. I sensed maybe in The One, America will call them perhaps?

And do you think that America's father is one of the rebel? He have his history books. And then at the halloween he just wandering around the palace and after that it just happen some rebels got the book. But it's probably the northeners, not the southerners. Oh, and when he talked to Maxon in the garden i was like, so excited. Because before proposing, the man has to ask the father of the girl right? But i was wrong..

And now the last thing, Marlee and Carter's accident.

Even when i reread it, my heart was beating so fast. I remember when the maids woke her up and then in a black dress and Marlee wasn't there. I was what's going on heck WHAT'S GOING ON. And then there's carter and how didn't i figured it out? Every guards she pass she just tells us it's a guard but when it's Carter, she asked for her name just because she ran over him.

And when Marlee was tortured, i can't handle this. And how sweet it is for Carter to say Love you and tells her that everything's gonna be alright. Now that's a gentleman. And goodness gracious i was so happy with America when she ran for the stage. Everyone seems to like it too because that shows love and bravery. And when America meets Marlee again, oh god i was beyond happy.

And that's all for today. Now i'm going to start The One so do not disturb me!

THANKS FOR READING! :)

The Selection by Kiera Cass (Book Review)

The Selection is the first book in The Selection trilogy that i'm proud to announce is completed. The last book of the trilogy which is called The One, came out at the 6th of May. The One is one of my highly anticipated book of 2014 because The Selection is very good.

I reread this, if you don't know. If you seen the menu, you'll know that i put 'Currently Reading' in the menu. But if you notice it, i said that i was rereading it.

Yes, this means that whatever books i'm rereading, i will make a book review about it if i don't have the review on my blog yet. For instance, like The Selection. Or maybe like Dorothy Must Die, i've make the review on this blog, and when i reread it, i won't make a review again. Because who the heck wants to read two reviews.

If you look at the menu again, you'll also notice my top 5 favourite. The Selection is currently in the fourth position when i'm writing this.

If you guys complained about why didn't i put The Mortal Instruments or The Hunger Games or Heroes Of Olympus it's just because that i would like to put books that's not that popular. Like who doesn't know The Hunger Games and who doesn't like it? I definitely like that but i would be so expected. So to get other readers attention, i put something that's maybe popular but not so hype like the main six.

Anyway, The Selection is about a girl named AMERICA SINGER. And guess what's her job? Yes, a singer. And what country she lives in? Illea but it used to be America, so yeah. AMERICA SINGER. Oh god, i forgot her middle name. What's her middle name?

It seems that Katniss Everdeen has a rival in the name department now. Good job, Kiera Cass.

Anyway, The Selection follows a girl named America Singer the singer. There's a caste- Yes, there is a caste. Before continuing, let's talk about this caste thing. The Selection is in the future. We know that it's a dystopian future but why did all of you agreed to let the caste systems take hold again? Seriously, everyone with a brain has to reject that.- and she's in Five.

There's ranking, and she's a five. The top and the wealthiest and the royal family is the One. (You don't say?) And the poor and the lowest is the Eight. So, America, being only two steps away from garbage is having a pretty hard life. She sings and plays the instruments beautifully.

So then there's The Selection. The Selection is a "Contest" that pick thirty-five girls to be the wife of a prince. So it's like the bachelor meets Dystopian kingdom. Funny story, everyone keeps saying that it's the bachelor meets The Hunger Games but it didn't make sense. I thought at first that the girls like battle it out. Like they are given preparations and like then they fight with weapons one-on-one. But that didn't happen so bummer!

Our America is chosen by the government. Because she is pretty and all that kind of stuff even though she is a Five. Even Six nor Seven and Eight gets picked. Even though they are eligible, they rarely get picked.

So America didn't want this, of course. Because she is in love with another boy. SCANDAL. Named Aspen Legger. Yes, in this book, there is a love triangle. But the love triangle is so good. Like, some novels, the love triangles are really bad. Like the basic concept for a live triangle is a girl with a boy she is friends with and newcomer. But in this book, she's dating one another and the other she is used to hate. So that's fascinating.

So she gets chosen and her life turned upside down when she meets the one and only Prince of Illea, Maxon Schreave! And she's like, battling it out with thirty-five other girls so emotions will appear in every book.

I really enjoyed this book. There's drama and love and hate and also a little bit violence- a little bit. Not much. But very, very little.- and it doesn't have to be girl reader, kay? Like the cover is not masculine but indeed are feminine. Very feminine because it's typical girl stuff, girls with long dresses. Even my mom when me and my family was shopping, i pick out The One and my brother pick out I Am Number Four, she said "Your taste is really different! This is so girly!"

I ain't gonna accept that, thank you. What matters most is the inside, not the outside. Do not judge a book by its cover, they said but we all know that's not true. Cover is extremely important, because covers that are beautiful is like a magnet for readers and the ones that are boring would make second-guesses.

If you are a boy, yes, i recommend you to pick up this amazing book. Just put out the dust jacket. But if you're like me, then just be like a spy or something. I survived because The Selection is definitely a short read. The first time i read it was like two days and now, i'm so ashamed that i finished it in four days. It's because finals are coming and such.

Let's talk about the cover. The Cover is really, really beautiful. At first, i thought that the girls in the back are other peoples, but it turns out it's a mirror which is pretty cool! And all the sparkle and stuff. And the dress was also gorgeous but i'm a bit uncomfortable when i'm reading it in school because it looks like she's a quarter naked.

35 Girls. 1 Crown. Da competition of a lifetime.

Now i'm gonna head to the spoiler part of the review, i'm gonna discuss it! So if you haven't read the book, i recommend you to leave right now because you'll regret it. I hate being spoiled and you should too because if you read this book unspoiled, The Feels! Anyway, bye people who haven't read The Selection yet!

Let's talk about the one we all know and hate, Aspen. If you like him, well i don't know what's wrong with you. But seriously, you should go to a therapist because liking him is wrong. There isn't a single book reviewer that actually like Legger. He is mean and cruel and selfish. And stop calling her 'Mer' she is not your mermaid and Maxon is the one who should call him that.

Anyway, i'm kinda glad that he broke up with America and convinced her to enter The Selection. That's the only thing that i like about him. Well not exactly about him, but what he do. So i don't like him, but i like what he did. But without him convincing her, America would have been signup up too, right? Because her mother is generous and make her keeps the half of the income.

And makes America meets with Maxon and i ship them all the way! If you read my TMI (Too Much Information) Tag- which you can see it right here- and you'll know that, i think, i didn't add America and Maxon in my favourites OTP (One True Pairing.). It's because i'm so blank and i didn't think of them. So sorry.

Anyway, when Aspen meets her again at the palace, i was so mad. Of all the people why him? WHYYY? I hate Aspen from the bottom of my heart and why America? Instead of hating him and punching him in the gut, you just like embrace him? No, that's not nice, America, bad girl, bad girl! He just broke you and you still love him?

Like i don't understand people who's like, i like him/her but he/she just shattered my dreams but i will still keep trying and impress him/her and make him/her regret what he/she picks. Well, those people, i admired them, sometimes they are my role models. But people who's like that and lied to themselves and pretend that he/she hates him/her? Unbelievable. I just want to slap them and like just tell the truth and do something even a little bit please?

But when America was like "Shut up, Aspen. I'm the Elite now, and i have feelings with Maxon and you should go to hell!" I love that part. In yo' face, Aspen. And Aspen should give up already. You are perfect with Celeste, that old hag. I was going to say the maids but NOPE. They're too good for him. Celeste is the perfect one. And if they ended up together, be the jerk Celeste you always are and torture him!

Speaking of Celeste, let's talk about her. I hate her, but i sort of don't feel anything to her. She's just like an obstacle because who wants to marry a jerk like her? She's all things bad. No one, i'm surprised she do this because of him. I think she only wants the crown. But she likes pretend to love him just so Maxon can feel the same way. Just go to hell with Aspen.

Now let's talk about Marlee. I really liked her. I'm picturing her as Shailene Woodley. Do you know her? She's the one who plays Tris in Divergent. And also the one who plays Hazel in The Fault In Our Stars. But i picture her with long hair, like in Divergent. And Marlee is like the happy-go-lucky kind of girl and i love her.

And i also knew she's going to the Elite too because i've been spoiled. So i was searching The Selection wiki- please don't judge me when you hear this- and there's The Elite. But it doesn't said The Elite (Book) or something, it's just there. So i clicked it and it turns out that it's not a book but a list of gils that made it to the top 6.

And when she's like doesn't feel anything towards Maxon, i was so happy. Because i thought that America and Marlee would end up becoming rivals and i don't want that, of course. So when i heard that, i was so happy and jumping. But the thing that made me curious is when she wants to stay. I think it's because of the money but she would have told that to America.

Ashley. When we meet her i was like "Who is she? Being like ladylike and all and just like ugh." Because i don't like girls that are too proper. I knew she's not going to get that far, but i'm very surprised when she is out when she just got there. Like she thinks she's going to be, but sadly, Maxon crushed her dreams to bits and pieces. MUAHAHAHAHA,

I really liked Maxon, if you don't know already. He's so kind and so helpful and so all the good stuff. But sometimes, i'm a bit mad at him. Like when he shouts to her at the garden all just because of Celeste. Do you love her or something? And Maxon should love America more, just like cross all the girls and just go to America.

And when they share a kiss. I fainted because i was YES YES YES YES! And dangnabbit, America, you told him that you half-love him or just like possible. BUT YOU LOVE HIM AND YOU KNOW IT AND JUST GO KISS HIM AND MARRY AND BEAT OUT ALL THE GIRLS BECAUSE MAXON IS YOURS AND JUST BURN ASPEN OR SOMETHING.

That's all for today. I think i'm going to put one more post later this week. Maybe a tag, maybe a story time, or just maybe The Blood Of Olympus cover talk because i heard that they will be releasing it this week! I'm so excited!! And maybe for next week, it's only going to be two. But hopefully three. And i will be on a hiatus for two weeks because finals and i have camp.

THANKS FOR READING! :)

Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell & Dorothy Must Die by Danielle Paige (Book Reviews)

Heyya guys, wassup?

Today i think i'm going to add a little buzz in my blog. It's called book mashups! It's just a post combining two reviews. Because i want to discuss Eleanor and Park & Dorothy Must die separately, but when i make the Eleanor and Park book review it's very, very short. And i don't know when will i read another contemporary so i was forced to combine this.

I purchase this two books at the same time and place and both books are good. So i think it's very unique that i can sort of compare this two books. Contemporary and Fantasy, which one is better?

I think i have to lean on Dorothy Must Die more because i liked fantasy a more than our beloved ordinary earth. But both books are good, keep that in mind, okay? I rated Eleanor and Park a 4,5 out of 5 stars and Dorothy Must Die a 5 out of 5 stars. Let's get on to the reviews shall we?

This is a spoiler free for Eleanor and Park. But in Dorothy must die, i have to discuss it because something good and bad happen and i want to share those feels to you guys.

ELEANOR AND PARK
Eleanor and Park is a story about a two-crossed lovers. They are misfits, too. Eleanor is i think a 'fat' girl everybody in her school says it, but personally, my imagination think she is not fat. She has family and also bullying problems in her life. Like wow, poor her.

(Putting a little note that at first i don't know what misfits are at first. If you know me, you know that i'm not from america. I'm from another country and i'm not very comfortable saying what country i live in, but you'll find out soon enough if my blog grows hopefully. Back to the misfits thing, so then i searched google translate and i finally know what it means!)

She is in fact a freshman in her school. Yep, a freshman. I'm so sorry for her because i think we all have been through our freshman years and it's a rough start, right? Well, at least for me it's a rough start. I can relate to her somehow when she is alone and i've been through that before. Walking alone and staring at people with friends.

Her family is sort of complicated and god her life is so tragic. She has a step-father named Richie. When i first knew the name, i was like what the heck Richie, he is not even that rich and he call himself that. He is a very aggresive man and he also drinks. I believe his actual name is Richard.

One day, this so-called Richie guy kicks Eleanor out of his house and she is forced to stay with the neighbors. If you want to find out why he kicks her out then feel free to buy the book yourself. I was wondering, is this happen to real life? Do people actually do that to a child like kick him/her out if they do something wrong?

And her mother is like doesn't try to defend her at times because she is already damaged because Richie is man and shout at her at nights. So like when Richie kicks her out, she doesn't even give a dang to defend her just like bam you've been kicked out. And also her real father doesn't seems to care about her anymore.

Now, let's talk about Park. Park have a good life, not like Eleanor's. His mother runs a salon and i don't know what his father works. He's basically a misfits i think because he is asian. I think he is korean and he got that from her mother. Actually, he's a little bit popular because he dated a popular girl once and no one ain't gonna fool around with him. But he is like a nerdy type of guy, too.

Eleanor and Park meets at the bus. Eleanor is searching for a place to sit but she didn't get any. And all the popular kids like bullied her if she doesn't get a seat so Park darn okay get in here, girl. He have a seat to himself and because of her, he have to sacrifice it. But they fell in love so it's okay.

This is a sad story, you guys. So for those of you who don't like sad stories, i don't recommend this to you but i didn't cry of course because i'm not a book cry-er. But it's still really good and the love story was just so epic.

And i'm hoping that ELEANOR AND PARK IS GOING TO BE MADE TO A MOVIE!! Rainbow Rowell said on her twitter that dreamworks just pick it up and she is going to be the screenwriter of the movie! Because she is also writing a new book called Landline it will take time for her to make it so i'm hoping the movie will come out at 2016 or such. For the bigger news, click here. I maybe going to make a post about it but it seems unlikely.

And she also said that she's going to made a sequel but i think it's not soon. It will be an adult book, too! Because when we met them again, they will be grown ups. She's going to write a sequel but she is stopped by her agent i don't know why. I mean, what an agent. Agents are supposed to know how fans will react to this. We all want a sequel because the ending was...

I liked Eleanor and Park more than Fangirl. Everyone keeps saying that they can very relate to Cath, the main character from the story, but i can only relate to when she's alone too and typing on her computer writing fanfiction and it's not much. And it's not that heart-warming because there's some stuff too like family problems. It maybe because i'm in a reading slump when i read Fangirl but i enjoyed Eleanor and Park more.

DOROTHY MUST DIE
This book tells a girl whose name is Amy Gumm. She is the other girl kansas. Her life is basically pretty much like Eleanor's. Family and friends problem. She doesn't have any friends and her mother is now an alcohol-addict i believe and her mother is like doesn't seem to care for her anymore.

When her life is dark, suddenly there's a tornado and she is brought too Oz, which is now a not-so magical place because Dorothy.

Dorothy's supposed to be good and kind but NOPE! She is very evil and selfish and greedy. The power just corrupted her mind and then she wants to take incharge.

Now Oz is not Oz anymore. The yellow brick road is crumbling and wicked witches maybe the good ones and the good witches can't be trusted anymore. It's like Oz itself have been swept by a tornado and just like fall and now is like a mess.

I have seen the movies but i haven't read the books yet. It's just because the book is like very rare now because it was published a long time ago. But i have my research and i know some stuffs.

Anyway, Amy is been recuited by the Order of the wicked and she has been given a cool yet deadly and almost but not impossible mission which is : REMOVE the tin woodman's heart, STEAL the scarecrow's brains, TAKE the lion's courage, and the Dorothy Must Die.

How cool is the plot? Like when i read it in Goodreads, i was tingling. Like my hair just went straight and the book done it's job. But it's very underated because it's just released, i think. If you notice, i put Dorothy Must die in my top 5 favourite and it is in number five! The first book is already this good and i can't wait for the sequel. I NEED THE SEQUEL NOW, PLEASE, DANIELLE PAIGE. Btw, Danielle Paige has a twitter and go follow her @Daniellempaige.

There's also a novella prequel and it's told from Dorothy's point of view. If you want to know what exactly happen to Dorothy, you can read it. I haven't read it yet because i can't buy them because i haven't got my own credit card and my parents only let me buy books in just like the real thing. But i recommend you read it.

Let's talk about the cover. The cover is awesome! Like Dorothy standing and the word die is super cool. And there's dust too on the cover and i was like whoa this is epic and i'm excited to see the next cover! I bet it's going to be amazing and i sort of think that the publishers are going to play with colours. Like, the first book will be red and the second book will be blue and the third one will be green!

I hope they will make a movie about this book because it can be put in the Oz saga. You know how there's a prequel : Oz the great and the powerful? They should make the sequel to called Dorothy Must Die because i think Danielle Paige makes a good book and it deserve a movie!

Now i'm gonna head to the SPOILER SECTION. Beware!

So some stuff happens in this book. There's plot twist that i don't see it coming and i think i'm going to make this short because it will be a long post if i discuss every single detail of it. So let's discuss!

So Indigo died and the monkey betrayal happens first. I did not expect Indigo to die of that quickly. After she died, i knew that a lot will happen again! And i thought that Amy, Indigo, Ollie, and Star and also that boy Pete is going to make a team like Dorothy once did but i was heck wrong. And Ollie just ran out? I thought he was going to die because of the lion but again plot twist he did not. Good job, Danielle Paige, very good job.

Let's talk about Pete for a second. He is actually the real Ozma in hiding. Ahem, plot twist again i didn't see it coming. And boy, Ozma is turned into a boy again but the wizard did it this time. If you don't know what i mean, Ozma is turned into a boy by Mombi once. Funny story, first i thought that Amy and Pete is going to be a couple i was wrong again! Pete is actually Ozma.

Gert died and again i didn't see it coming! HAHAHAHAHA. I didn't expect such a big influence character to die in the first book. And what the heck Mombi. SHE COULD HAVE BEEN SAVED IF YOU JUST COME QUICKLY ENOUGH I MEAN WHYYYYYY. Gert's death hit me the most in this story.

Jellia is a member of the wicked, didn't expect that. Jellia almost got killed, nope, doesn't expect that. Like why Amy? You should have left Ollie alone! He has left you but i knew it has to happen to set up the sequel because we need Ollie and Maude.

I also loved the romance between Nox and Amy. I was expecting a love triangle between Amy-Nox-Pete but nope. And i thought maybe Amy-Nox-Melindra? But Melindra didn't deserve him. And when he kissed her in Astrid form, too bad, but i'm still gushing!

The Remove, Steal, and Take didn't happen until the end of the book. So i knew Dorothy is not going to die at the first book. Amy removed the tin woodman's heart so that is checked off the list. Next, scarecrow and lion!

That's all for today, i hope you enjoy my post and this counts as tow post right? So it's three post this week! Lol! Hopefully i'll post 3 actual post next week but i'm ab it busy lately.

THANKS FOR READING! :)

Story Time : Me Against The Class

"I have a talent. It's breathing."

Hey guys!

I know, i know. Where have i been, you wanted to know? Well, some stuff happens. First, if you are familiar with my blog or have been following me or just you have a normal life, you know that finals are coming and nothing can stop it. NOTHING. Because of that, homeworks are falling from hell and it's like fire.

Even when i'm writing this i still have homeworks. And i also have to study because there's tests in every class. There's mean teachers too so i can't avoid it if that's what you're thinking. And if that doesn't annoying enough, my wallet is becoming thinner and thinner. I can't buy any books and that is torture.

(If you are waiting for my review of Eleanor and Par by Rainbow Rowell, you have to wait, okay? I may not discuss it but i will review it. It's just because it has been days since i finished the book and i only remember a bit.)

And then i got sick. A fever. And i have to stay in bed and just eat ice cream (just kidding.) and pizzas (This one, i may lied but may not.) and i was tired and week all day. And i can only wath youtube videos because that's the only thing that made me happy aside from reading. I can still read but holding the book is a challenge.

I was planning to post one post last week but i just can't. I tried to write Eleanor and Park review but i was like "I gave up!"and i just want to take a break for awhile. And i was planning to post one on monday but it didn't happen because i got a blogging-slump.

Wait. Does blogging-slump existed? Does teh word blogging-slump existed? If yes then bummer. If not then i am very honored to be the first. But of course someone in the past have make blogging-slump before. IF you want to know how i make it, i make it from reading-slump. You know? just switch reading into blogging.

And i was planning to make a post of wednesday but you know that didn't happen. I was going to plan to take a break this week too, but next week from my calculations will be a lot bussier, so i decide that i will and here i am writing it right now. I may put another post up, maybe a very short Eleanor and Park review. But i think i'm going to only write two post this week and if i'm not busy enough, four post next week.

But i think we all know that's not going to happen.

But hopefully it will. So don't give up yet, kay?

So what happen that i'm willing to write this? Well, it's not about books. I think i'm on a reading slump but i'm still excited to read s i don't know for sure. And i just got a bit lazy searching for some tags. And i haven't made something that's non-bookish! So i want to write that.

What do you think of the title? Is it good enough? If you are wondering what 'story time' is, i want to make like a video type that's basically me sharing my story with you guys. Something i think worth the read.

If you have been following me since my early start, you'll know that i have post a story time before that's called 'The Devil' but i deleted it. In that post, i rant about someone i hate. I was comfortable with it at first but then i think that i've gone too much ranting and i just showed my bad side. But the one i hate is really like ugh. 60% of my school hates him/her, so you don't have to judge me yet.

So let's get started.

Just putting a little note that i'm a bit of sensitive with stuff. Well, not actually. But sometimes, what i freak out the most everybody was like that's normal. What i thought was normal, everybody is like you're a freak. So if i made you feel that. Feel free to leave.

So i study culinary arts in school. It's cooking but we learn table setting and table manner and such. But we have a chance to pick. We can either pick Culinary Arts or Electronics. Of course, if you're a boy, you would choose electronics. But i didn't.

Last year, at the first semester, we are put by the teachers in culinary. At the second semester, the teacher put us in electronics. And after that, we can choose. So i got a decent point at culinary and at electronics i was below 6. So i know what i would choose.

But i choose the wrong class. The teacher is mean and i'm not that good at cooking. So i have to wait another year until i can choose another.

Anyway, so last week, my teacher didn't come and there's an assignment that our class have to answer. But the others was like "Eh? I'm so lazy. I don't want to do it." So they just sit and told ghost stories. I was the only one who do it. I was like okay since there's one time when i was the only one who do it, and nothing happened. So this time i was why not.

So today, the teacher was furious because my class didn't do it. She was so mad because our class is so late, she make the assignment as something i forgot. But only one class do it and my class wasn't the one. So she is very, very mad.

My friend argued that she didn't know that there's a test. But she knows, of course. My school is like, the teacher is absent? Just like free. And they argued and somehow got the upper hand because of they use some sort of trick.

And then the teacher was like searching through the files and find mine. My heart skipped a beat when she was like "Ah! There's this one! How do you say to that?!" she said but i think she wanted to say "JERKS, U JUST GOT A PUNISHMENT. MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" if i could, i would punch the teacher and like shut up.

So everything went silent and i knew that they are giving me the death dagger look behind me. And i was so ashamed and the teacher was like "How do you get this?" and i was like speechless because i don't know what to say. So i lied.

I lied that i didn't do it. I do it at home at when my friend told me. But i was like answering with a shaky voice so the teacher didn't buy my story. And then the teacher is mad at us more and the others is mad at me more and i don't know what to do.

So the culinary students in my class hates me now. And they can spread rumors and maybe the school will hate me too. What should i do?

You think that it's not that big deal and we can ignore it. But be at my place first before you judge someone. Learn from their point of view and just know their feelings. I have problems A LOT with my class this year and i'm scared what will happen next year. I could have no friends next year because this year i only got one and made one friend. So i'm very scared and hoping that it will get better at teh ninth grade.

Okay, that's all for today. It's a bit short because the story is not that long either and with all of the things i said before. And again i want to say hopefully that i'll put Eleanor and Park or maybe some things that's lately have been on my mind.

THANKS FOR READING! :)
